how is quick change costume magic done? I was watching different videos of quick changes and i just love the idea of this kind of magic show. But how in the world is it done? Anyone know?
Through the ages of shows I’ve been in, and the 1000′s of quick changes, I know how it is done.
Layers. We wear as much as we can under everything, and we basically get changed by a staff of a few. It gets pretty intense, but we always make them. Between untying our shoes and tucking in the laces, to half buttoning the tux shirts and just sliding them over our heads, to rolling the pants into what look like huge circles and rolling them over the legs, it is quite the process.
or if it’s all done on stage: very very good pattern makers to design the costume as every costume will be packed into the one, ribbbons, and little press clips- you need an excellent designer and pattern maker though- they’re the magic person! References :

how is quick change costume magic done?
I was watching different videos of quick changes and i just love the idea of this kind of magic show. But how in the world is it done? Anyone know?
Ingenious design incorporating lots of velcro and loose whip-stitching.
